Greensboro Woman Dies After Friday Wreck In Hale County
The wreck occurred Friday afternoon on Alabama Highway 69, six miles south of Moundville in Hale County.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Greensboro woman died from her injuries following a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Hale County. The crash occurred on state Highway 69, approximately six miles south of Moundville.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the wreck was first reported at approximately 4:40 p.m. Friday, before saying that Monica Michelle Roy, 47, was seriously injured when the 2018 Kia Optima in which she was a passenger, collided head-on with a 2017 Ford F250 driven by a 22-year-old Mobile man.

The driver of the Kia, a 30-year-old Moundville woman and Roy were both transported to an area hospital for treatment. Roy, who was not using a seat belt, died from her injuries a short time later.
ALEA's Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the crash.
