Watch Second Tuscaloosa Mayoral Debate Online

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Two of the three candidates vying for Tuscaloosa's highest city office during the city's municipal election on March 2 are set to square off in a virtual debate hosted by the local nonprofit 10-4 Corporation.

Incumbent Mayor Walt Maddox, who is seeking a fifth consecutive term in office, and former Alabama football player Martin Houston will both be participating, while University of Alabama faculty member Serena Fortenberry declined, citing 10-4 Corporation's affiliation with a city contract and a Tuscaloosa Police Department diversity training program.

The first debate, hosted by WVUA 23, saw all three candidates address a range of topics in front of a televised audience last Thursday.

10-4 Corporation President Ransey O’Daniel will host the debate and told WBRC Fox 6 news that each candidate will be asked two or three questions, with the online event scheduled for an hour.
