Investigators Give Updates, Seek Leads In Lake Tuscaloosa Shooting
Police provided updates Monday as investigators continue to look into a shooting Friday night that injured two people near Lake Tuscaloosa.

NORTHPORT, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit provided updates Monday morning as investigators continue to look into a shooting Friday night that injured two people near Lake Tuscaloosa.

As Patch previously reported, the shooting occurred in the 15000 block of Marina Drive.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the multiagency unit, said Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's deputies were initially dispatched to the call of a shooting at around 11:30 p.m.
He then said a man and a woman had suffered injuries not thought to be life-threatening

"It is believed that this shooting stemmed from an ongoing disagreement between several individuals and there is no reason to believe that the surrounding area is in any danger," Kennedy said. "Anyone who lives in the area is asked to check any cameras or video they may have between the times of 11 p.m. and 12 a.m. for any suspicious vehicle or persons."
