Ken Moore Appointed Woodstock Municipal Judge
Judge Ken Moore has been appointed by Woodstock Mayor Jeff Dodson to become the new municipal judge for the town.

WOODSTOCK, AL — Judge Ken Moore has been appointed by Woodstock Mayor Jeff Dodson to become the new municipal judge for the town.

"On behalf of the town council and the citizens our community, I welcome Judge Moore to Woodstock,” Dodson said. “He has several decades of civil and criminal litigation experience to prepare him for this new role.”

Moore, a lifelong resident of Bessemer, will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Edward Vines.
Moore attended Auburn University and played fullback for legendary football coach Ralph "Shug" Jordan. He earned a bachelor's degree from Auburn and went on to attend Cumberland School of Law at Samford University for his juris doctorate.

After graduating with his law degree, Moore worked in the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office, for Governor Albert Brewer and U.S. Senator John Jackson Sparkman.
He then founded a private practice in Bessemer in 1988.
As for his experience on the bench, Moore serves as the municipal Judge in Hueytown and Pleasant Grove, as well as the City Prosecutor in Adamsville. He also chairs the Jefferson County Personnel Board.
