"The people have spoken," the Lake View Fire District told Patch Tuesday night after the final results came in. "The final results 621 to 112 in favor of keeping the 2003 rate schedule. We would like to thank all those who supported us. We would have liked to have the opportunity to provide more for our community but respect the wishes of the people."
In their campaign for increased dues, Lake View Fire District officials stressed that residents typically pay $75 per home annually at present.
