Leaders Break Ground On Major Expansion At Epsilon Industries

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Epsilon Industries broke ground Friday expansion of its Tuscaloosa manufacturing faciliy, totaling more than $15 million.

Local economic development leaders say the project is expected to create 26 new jobs while increasing the company's production capacity.

The Tuscaloosa County Economic Development Authority (TCEDA) said the expansion will enhance the company's manufacturing capabilities, allowing it to meet growing customer demand while supporting future innovation and operational excellence.

As Patch previously reported, the investment comes just two years after Epsilon Industries opened its Tuscaloosa production facility in 2023.

"Since first opening our production facility here in Tuscaloosa back in 2023, we've been extremely pleased with the quality of the local workforce and the support of the local business and educational communities," Epsilon Industries President Chris Wiederick said. "Looking forward, this expansion will have a tremendous impact on Epsilon's ability to continue supporting the growing off-site construction needs of our customers."

Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox said the expansion reflects the company's confidence in the city and will benefit the community beyond the jobs it creates.

"This is just the beginning of Epsilon Industries' growth and expansion in our community," Maddox said. "The work being done here translates into more police officers, more firefighters, better infrastructure and greater opportunities for our community. I'm grateful to the Epsilon team for their commitment and all they're helping us achieve."

TCEDA Executive Director Justice Smyth called the expansion a strong endorsement of the area's workforce and business environment.

"Epsilon Industries' decision to expand just two years after establishing operations in Tuscaloosa is a strong vote of confidence in our community, our workforce and our business climate," Smyth said. "This investment reflects the success the company has experienced here and demonstrates that Tuscaloosa County continues to be a place where manufacturers can grow and thrive. We are grateful for Epsilon's continued partnership and look forward to supporting their success for many years to come."
