"Typically, middle school is the time that parents stop being as involved within the schools," Prince said in a letter to parents. "However, it is my goal and mission to change this narrative. It is during this time that our children need us the most."

A native of Tuscaloosa and graduate of Hillcrest High School, Prince has worked as an adjunct professor for the University of Alabama, and an administrator at Francis Marion High School and Sipsey Valley Middle School, before becoming the principal at Cresmont.

During her time at Crestmont Elementary School, the school was named as a 2022 National Model Turnaround School.

"As demands and complexities of teaching children increase, it becomes more evident that we must work together to ensure that our children reach their highest potential," Prince said. "Research shows that parent participation in their child's school coincides with a greater likelihood of academic success. If you have any questions or concerns that arise at any time, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teachers or our administrative team. I look forward to having a long and rewarding relationship with you and your family."
