Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Captain Marty Sellers told local media that officers with the Northport Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at Knoll Circle Apartments around 7 p.m. Friday.

Investigators said a man was involved in an argument with another man over a dice game shortly before the shooting occurred.
Following the dispute, the victim was shot in the left shoulder.

Sellers said the victim was transported for medical treatment and was later released.
No arrests have been made and investigators have not publicly identified a suspect. However, authorities said the man involved in the argument with the victim is considered a suspect.
The investigation remains ongoing.
The shooting appears to be unrelated to a separate incident that occurred in the same Northport apartment complex earlier this week, when a teenage boy was fatally shot late Monday night.
