Man Suffers Serious Injuries In Axe Attack On McFarland Boulevard
The victim was reportedly attacked by a suspect who exited the passenger side of another vehicle, striking him with a hatchet or tomahawk.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Investigators are working to locate a man who reportedly attacked a man with a hatchet or tomahawk axe Friday afternoon.
The Tuscaloosa Police Department says officers responded to a business in the 3100 block of McFarland Boulevard E. at 4:55 p.m., where they were told by a woman that she and the victim were traveling northbound on McFarland Boulevard when an acquaintance jumped from the passenger seat of a nearby vehicle and began to assault the man.

TPD says the suspect and the victim had been involved in an ongoing dispute.
Following the attack, the victim was hospitalized with head injuries that were serious but did not appear to be life-threatening, according to investigators.
