McCalla Man Killed In Interstate Crash Saturday

A McCalla man is dead following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 59 Saturday evening near Fosters.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A McCalla man is dead following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 59 Saturday evening near Fosters.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the crash occurred at 5:05 p.m. when the the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jonathan Tarvin, 76, left the roadway and struck a parked 2021 Freightliner tractor trailer occupied by a Texas man.

Tarvin was pronounced dead at the scene, which was approximately two miles south of Fosters.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
