McDonald Hughes Center To Host Free CommUNITY Event Saturday

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The McDonald Hughes Community Center in West Tuscaloosa will host a free, daylong CommUNITY Event on Saturday.

The event will feature local vendors, inflatable games, face painting, live DJs, food trucks and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament offering a $2,000 cash prize to the winner.

The CommUNITY Event will last from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., with the Nothing But Net basketball tournament tipping off at 1 p.m.

Proceeds from the tournament will go to the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center.

Organizers will also host a toy drive and encourage the public to make donations of new, unwrapped gifts for those in need ahead of the holidays.
