VANCE, AL — Mercedes-Benz U.S. International says it will officially unveil its first all-electric luxury SUV, which will be manufactured at its production facility in Tuscaloosa County, in less than two weeks.

The announcement from Stuttgart, Germany will be on April 19 at 6 a.m. and can be watched by clicking here on the day of the event.

Executive Board members Ola Källenius and Britta Seeger are scheduled to present the highlights of the new vehicle during the digital premiere.

As Patch previously reported, the company plans to add 600 new jobs at its new battery production plant in nearby Bibb County, as the German automaker begins of production of its all-electric Mercedes-EQ vehicles in Vance.
