Mississippi Murder Suspect Nabbed In Tuscaloosa County After Pursuit

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A murder suspect from Mississippi is in custody after a high-speed pursuit ended Friday afternoon in Tuscaloosa County.

Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jessica McDaniel told Patch that deputies were first contacted by authorities out of Pickens County Friday afternoon.

The suspect, who is from Clay County, Mississippi, crossed the county line into Tuscaloosa County along U.S. Highway 82 before TCSO deputies engaged the driver.

McDaniel said after TCSO deputies got involved in the chase at Cooper Road, the suspect was eventually taken into custody near Sand Springs Road.
