Montana Fouts Announces Bid For UA Homecoming Queen
The star Alabama softball pitcher made the announcement via social media on Monday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Few, if any, will argue against Montana Fouts as the Queen of the Softball Diamond for the Crimson Tide. But off the mound, the star pitcher is gunning for another crown.

On Monday, Fouts took to social media to announce her candidacy for Homecoming Queen on behalf of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Homecoming at the University of Alabama will be held Oct. 23, with the Crimson Tide taking on Tennessee.

According to the University of Alabama, Homecoming Queen Elections will open for all UA students via myBama on Tuesday, Oct. 19 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

A senior from Grayson, Kentucky, Fouts is a two-time National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American and led the NCAA with 349 strikeouts during the 2021 season, which culminated in a SEC title and an appearance in the College World Series final. For her stellar performance over the 2021 season, she was named 2021 NFCA Pitcher of the Year.
