TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit says five people were injured, one critically, as the result of a Monday night shooting at Hay Court Apartments in the city's West End.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the multiagency unit, confirmed the developing news to local media as the investigation is in its earliest stages and said that four of the victims suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
