National Night Out Set For Aug. 3 In Snow Hinton Park

The annual event is set for Aug. 3 in Snow Hinton Park will feature hands-on equipment displays, rescue demonstrations and more.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Local law enforcement agencies across Tuscaloosa are gearing up to once again engagement the community in fun, family-friendly setting for National Night Out.

The annual event is set for Aug. 3 in Snow Hinton Park from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will feature hands-on equipment displays, rescue and K9 demonstrations, Q&A booths, food and more.

National Night Out will also include representatives from the Tuscaloosa Police Department, Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office, Northport Police Department, ALEA, Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue and the University of Alabama Police Department.

First started in 1984, National Night Out is an annual "community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie."
