Northport Councilman, Business Owner Delivering Meals To Eutaw Storm Victims
A Northport city councilman and business owner is doing what he can to provide hot meals for those impacted by a line of storms on Wednesday

NORTHPORT, AL — Northport City Councilman Woodrow Washington III, who also owns the world-famous Archibald's BBQ, is delivering more than 600 meals to storm victims in Eutaw following a line of powerful storms that caused widespread property damage.

Washington will be set up in the William McKinley Branch Heights housing community in Eutaw Friday at noon and will be joined by Curtis Travis, who is running for Alabama House of Representatives District 72.

As Patch previously reported, the Branch Heights community of Eutaw was the hardest hit among cities in west Alabama Wednesday night, when a confirmed tornado tore through the city, but luckily did not cause any injuries or loss of life.
According to the National Weather Service's preliminary assessment, an EF1 tornado with estimated peak winds of 90 mph caused damage to roughly 40 homes in Greene County.
