Northport's 'Dickens Downtown' Set For Tuesday Night

Northport is once again set to host its popular "Dickens Downtown" holiday event on Tuesday in Historic Downtown Northport.

NORTHPORT, AL — It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Northport, with the city once again set to host its popular "Dickens Downtown" event on Tuesday in Historic Downtown Northport.

The event, presented by the Merchants of Historic Downtown Northport, will be held on Main Avenue from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and feature a wide range of offerings inspired by "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens.

Attendees will have the chance to enjoy a snow machine, live music, caroling and more.

What's more, the City of Northport is once again encouraging guests to dress in their best Dickens-era costume to add to the Victorian feel of the atmosphere.

The National Weather Service forecast office in Birmingham says there is a 20% chance of showers for Northport Tuesday night, with a low around 65.
