Northside High Principal Tony Dunn To Retire
Northside High School Principal Tony Dunn is set to retire from the role at the end of the school year.

SAMANTHA, AL — Northside High School Principal Tony Dunn is set to retire from the position at the end of the school year, Patch has confirmed with the Tuscaloosa County School System.

The school also made the announcement via social media, as several other longtime educators and staffers announced their retirements, including: Shawn Parsons, Kay Hardin, Teresa Guin and Chris Hilliker.

Dunn served for four years as assistant principal at NHS before being promoted his present role in 2018 following the retirement of Principal Cindy Long. During his career in education, Dunn has been a teacher, coach, athletic director, academic advisor and administrator.
TCSS Public Information Officer Terri Brewer said no replacement has been hired for Dunn, with the next meeting of the Tuscaloosa County Board of Education set for June 6.
