Infant In Critical Condition After Fatal Shooting On 20th Street

Investigators said one person in dead and an infant in critical condition after a shooting in Tuscaloosa Sunday morning.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — One person is dead, an infant is in critical condition and one person is in police custody following a shooting Sunday morning in the 4400 block of 20th Street Northeast.

Investigators with the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit confirmed the fatal shooting occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m. Sunday.

Captain Marty Sellers said the last report he had received indicated the infant, who had been shot, was in critical condition. No word was given on the identity of the person killed or the person who is reportedly in police custody.
