TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit says one person was injured in a shooting late Monday night in Tuscaloosa's West End.

Captain Marty Sellers told Patch the shooting occurred around 11:40 p.m. at 15th Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.

During the incident, a male suspect reportedly chased and shot another man near a gas station at the intersection.

Sellers said the victim was treated for injuries not believed to be life-threatening and the suspect has yet to be taken into custody.
