Papa Murphy's Pizza Hopes To Open Northport Location This Week

The popular pizza franchise is set to open its first location in the Tuscaloosa area this week at a new development in Northport.

NORTHPORT, AL — A new pizzeria is set to open this week in Northport in one of the city's newest developments.

Northport City Council President Jeff Hogg confirmed on Monday that Papa Murphy's Pizza hopes to open at some point this week "if everything goes as planned."

The exact opening date and times have yet to be announced. However, a sign reading "Come On In, We're Open" is currently hanging in the storefront.

The new location will be the first for the company in the Tuscaloosa area when it opens off of McFarland Boulevard, as it brings its take-home-to-cook style of pizzas to the north side of the river.

Papa Murphy's Pizza will share the new development in North Square plaza next door to the Northport Civic Center and City Hall. It will be next door to the new combination business featuring Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery.
