PARA Asks For Stories About Positive Impact Of Local Parks

PARA is asking the public to submit memories and stories of how local parks have made a positive impact on their quality of life.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA) is celebrating July as National Park & Recreation Month and doing so by asking for stories from the public on how local parks have improved their quality of life.

PARA Executive Director and CEO Brian C. Davis said the initiative celebrates the vital role park and recreation professionals across Tuscaloosa County play in bringing people together, providing essential services and fostering the growth of our communities.

"We invite our community to share how parks and recreation have benefitted them and positively impacted their quality of life,” he said. “We are appreciative to receive proclamations of support from the Tuscaloosa County Commission, City of Tuscaloosa, and City of Northport proclaiming, “Park and Recreation Month” in our community."
