Pedestrian Critically Injured After Being Struck In Northport

Northport Police say a man suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle near Wendy's in Northport

NORTHPORT, AL — A man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle at a restaurant in Northport Sunday evening.

Northport Police Department Assistant Chief Keith Carpenter told Patch that NPD received a call of a pedestrian struck at 6:14 p.m. Sunday at Wendy's on McFarland Boulevard, which prompted a response from police, Northport Fire and Northstar.

Carpenter said the victim sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.

NPD's Accident Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the incident.
