Pedestrian Identified After Being Struck And Killed On Old Montgomery Highway
The Tuscaloosa Police Department identified the victim as 29-year-old Demetrius Darnell Wilson of Tuscaloosa.

TUSCALOOSA, AL —The name of a pedestrian has been released by authorities after he was fatally struck by a vehicle Friday on Old Montgomery Highway in Tuscaloosa.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department on Saturday identified the victim as 29-year-old Demetrius Darnell Wilson of Tuscaloosa.

As Patch previously reported, Wilson was walking south in the 5400 block of Old Montgomery Highway when he was hit by a southbound Ford F-350 around noon on Friday.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The driver remained at the scene.
The department’s Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
