TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says a pedestrian from Duncanville was struck and killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday night on U.S. Highway 82, just east of Tuscaloosa.

ALEA informed local media Friday morning that the incident occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m. Thursday, when 21-year-old Samuel R. Ellis, of Duncanville, was struck by a 2022 Cadillac Escalade driven by a Duncanville woman.

Ellis was pronounced dead at the scene.
Few other details have been released at this time and ALEA said the fatal incident remains under investigation.
