Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle On 15th Street In Tuscaloosa
The Tuscaloosa Police Department says a pedestrian was seriously injured Wednesday night after being struck near 33rd Avenue.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department says a pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on 15th Street Wednesday night.

TPD said the driver of the vehicle was traveling east on 15th Street at 8:15 p.m. when he saw the victim, 33, standing in the roadway near 33rd Avenue. He was unable to stop before striking him going roughly 35 miles per hour — according to the driver and witnesses.

Police went on to say the victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for care.
TPD says it does not appear that any criminal actions contributed to this accident, which remains under investigation.
