Pickens County School Employees, Aliceville Police Officer Arrested On Child Porn Charges
Five Aliceville public servants, including four school employees and a police officer, have been arrested on charges related to child porn.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — Twenty-Fourth Judicial Circuit District Attorney Andy Hamlin has announced five Aliceville public servants, including four school employees and an Aliceville Police officer, have been arrested on charges related to child sexual abuse material.

Hamlin said Wednesday that investigators from his office, the Aliceville Police Department, the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation and Homeland Security Investigations’ Birmingham office executed arrests connected to multiple ongoing cases.

He then said those taken into custody include three members of the Aliceville High School faculty, one Aliceville Elementary School faculty member and one Aliceville police officer.
As of Wednesday, all five suspects were being held in the Pickens County Jail and have not been publicly identified by the DA's Office.

Hamlin said the investigations remain active and no additional details are being released at this time.
He added that further arrests and charges are possible as the cases progress.
Aliceville Police officer Caminion Gary is charged with solicitation of a child, first-degree sexual abuse, production of child pornography, transmitting obscene material to a child by computer, child molestation-enticing child.
Pickens County School District employees Winston Bishop, Lakethia Wilkins, Roderick Grange and and Antavious Belgrade have also been charged in connection to the ongoing investigation.
The Pickens County School District responded to the arrests, saying in a press release that "these matters are part of active criminal investigations being handled by the appropriate law enforcement agencies."
School system officials said the district is fully cooperating with authorities but cannot comment on specific details at this time since it is an ongoing investigation.
"The safety, well-being, and education of our students remain our highest priorities," PCSD said. "When concerns arise, we act promptly and in accordance with district policy and state law. Appropriate personnel actions have been taken to ensure continued stability within our schools."
