Pop-Up Vaccine Registration Site Coming To Brookwood Next Week

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa County EMA will provide a pop-up coronavirus vaccine registration site at Brookwood Town Park Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Those eligible for registration at the site include Tuscaloosa County residents 65 and older, who are asked to bring their identification and insurance card. However, uninsured residents meeting the eligibility requirements will also be welcome.

Tuscaloosa County EMA says vaccines will not be administered at the registration site and those with additional questions can call (205) 349-0150.

Next week's vaccine registration is part of a concerted effort on the part of Tuscaloosa County EMA to sign up locals to receive their shots through DCH Health System, with one location set up in Fosters in the Foodland parking lot Friday.

The same EMA initiative saw more than 200 people over the age of 65 registered at the McDonald Hughes Center earlier this month.

Emergency officials also expressed plans to host future pop-up registration sites for those eligible to receive the vaccine.
