Power Still Out For Many In Downtown Tuscaloosa Due To Electrical Fire
Power has been out for a large part of downtown Tuscaloosa since Friday morning due to an electrical fire.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Power remains out for businesses and residents in a large part of downtown Tuscaloosa as Alabama Power works to restore service following an electrical fire earlier Friday morning.

According to Alabama Power's online outage map, 88 total customers are without service in Tuscaloosa County as of 2:30 p.m.,

The impacted area is between University Boulevard, Greensboro Avenue, 7th Street and 21st Avenue. Service was cut off beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning as crews fought the blaze.
The City of Tuscaloosa said earlier that City Hall will be unable to accept any digital payments during this time.
