Reynolds Cole Named TA's School Winner In Heisman Scholarship Contest
The Tuscaloosa Academy senior will now advance to the state level competition in the hopes of making it to nationals for a chance at $10,000

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa Academy on Monday announced that senior Reynolds Cole has been selected as the school's winner in the 2021 Heisman High School Scholarship competition.

Selections were made from an applicant pool of thousands of high school scholar-athletes graduating with the class of 2022. At the school level, more than 5,700 students — including Cole — have been named winners by The Heisman Trophy Trust and Acceptance Insurance.

She is the daughter of Ray and Johanna Cole. In looking to the next chapter of her athletic and academic career, Cole plans to take her equestrian skills to the next level at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas.
Just this past weekend, Cole competed at the prestigious Washington International Horse Show held in Tyron, North Carolina.

As for the scholarship competition, Cole will now continue on for a chance to win at the state level, which carries a chance at a $1,000 scholarship. National finalists receive $2,000 while National Winners will each receive a $10,000 college scholarship.
