The Tuscaloosa River Market says the scammer — identifying herself as Eunice Pells — has contacted food trucks inviting them to participate in the market and requesting a payment of $120 per Saturday for the month of January.

The venue said the individual is not affiliated with the market and has no authority to collect vendor fees.
Vendors are advised not to respond to the emails, provide payment or share personal information, and to block the addresses if contacted.

Market officials also encouraged vendors to verify all participation requests and payment instructions through official market communication channels to avoid falling victim to similar scams.
