Britt won a hotly contested GOP Primary and subsequent General Election in 2022 to become the first woman from Alabama elected to the United States Senate.

“I am going to work tirelessly in the U.S. Senate to better the lives of hardworking Alabamians in every corner of our great state,” Britt told Patch on Wednesday. “We are continuing to build out a dynamic staff that is best suited to execute this mission. Together as a team, we are the hands, the feet, and the voice representing all Alabamians in Washington. There is a wide range of pressing challenges and opportunities that we must tackle head-on, and I’m up for the challenge.”

Wolfe grew up in Vance, before graduating from Brookwood High, then the University of Alabama and embarking on her career in public service. She found out about the new job with Britt's office around Christmas, as she was recovering from spinal surgery.

Despite the obvious discomfort at the time, Wolfe said she was "so excited" for the opportunity.

Prior to her new job with Britt's office, Wolfe worked a total of 28 years with the Alabama Bureau of Pardons & Paroles, with 19 in the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse as magistrate and grand jury coordinator. She then worked for two years at Tuscaloosa County Communications, before becoming a specialist senior overseeing all of the pardon investigations, gun rights and voting rights for the region.

Wolfe told Patch her role working for Alabama's newest senator will be two-fold: serving as the senator's eyes and ears on the ground, while also helping to handle the local case load from constituents.

"My map of west Alabama goes all the way up to Winston County and Cullman, all the way down to Marengo and Sumter (counties)," she said. "This is just my dream job and all of my career has been building to this, helping people. I know resources, I know people and if I can't help you I know people who can."

Wolfe has been married to her husband Kevin for 28 years and has one son, Zach Wolfe, who serves as the executive assistant to Tuscaloosa County Probate Judge Rob Robertson.
