Shelton State To Exhibit High School Art For Next Month
Shelton State Community College's Visual Arts Department is set to kick off an exhibition of art by local high school students this week.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Shelton State Community College's Visual Arts Department is set to kick off an exhibition of art by local high school students beginning this week.

The exhibition will debut Wednesday and will conclude Nov. 16, with a reception scheduled for Nov. 9 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. The exhibition will feature art from students of the Tuscaloosa Fine Arts Academy (TFAA) and The Alberta School of Performing Arts (TASPA).

Shelton State says both the exhibition and the reception are free and open to the public.
“As the Alabama Community College of the Fine Arts, Shelton State is excited to once again serve as host for the talented youth in our community to share their artistic visions,” SSCC art instructor Carson Grubaugh said. “Our ongoing collaboration with TFAA and TASPA provides an opportunity for West Alabama to celebrate and encourage its up-and-coming artists. This is always a special event, and we look forward to sharing it with our community.”

The Cadence Bank Art Gallery is located on the Martin Campus and showcases a changing series of exhibitions spotlighting local, regional, and national artists.
