Shelton State's Ali, Baynham Earn ACCC Postseason Honors

SSCC sophomores Fah'Mir Ali​ and Tyrus Baynham​ have earned postseason honors from the Alabama Community College Conference.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Shelton State Community College sophomores Fah'Mir Ali and Tyrus Baynham have been awarded postseason honors by the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC)

Ali — a 6-foot guard and native of Wilmington, Delaware — was selected by ACCC coaches to the All-Region 22 First Team, as well as the All-North First Team following his performance during the 2022-23 men's basketball season.

Joining Ali on the All-North Second Team was sophomore guard Tyrus Baynham — a native of Nashville who has averaged 14.7 points and 8 rebounds per game.

Ali has appeared in 19 games this season, averaging 21.2 points and 5.9 assists per game. From the floor, Ali has shot 40.9% on the year, while also shooting 37% from three-point range.

Ali's best performance of the season came on Feb. 15 against Calhoun Community College, where he went 16-for-31 shooting for 40 points.

The Shelton State Bucs will be back in action Thursday night at 7 p.m. to take on Snead State in the semifinals of the ACCC Tournament at Alabama A&M University.
