The health fair honors Denzel Davis — a former Stillman student who passed away on Oct. 28, 2018 after contracting viral bronchitis. The goal of the health fair is to help lift barriers of health care costs and location for both students and West End residents.

Stillman College says more than 30 million people nationwide live without health insurance, which can lead to lack of preventative care and illnesses or conditions going untreated, particularly for African-Americans.
