Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue responded Sunday to a fire at Running Brook Apartments that could have been much worse. TFR said the fire occurred in the kitchen and was contained by the range hood fire suppressor placed above the stove. This led the department to recommend Stovetop Firestops, which are small devices that mount to the vent hood or microwave above the stove. (More)
