Tide's Will Anderson Named SEC Defensive Player Of The Week
The sophomore linebacker has once again received conference honors after another strong showing during the Tide's last regular season game.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama sophomore linebacker Will Anderson has been named SEC Defensive Player of the Week following his performance in one of the most memorable Iron Bowl games to date.

During Alabama's four-overtime, 24-22 win over Auburn in Jordan-Hare Stadium Saturday, Anderson tallied a team-high three tackles for loss, including one sack. On the night, he recorded seven total tackles.

The award marks the fifth time Anderson — a native of Hampton, Georgia — has received the distinction this season.
