Tommy Moore Honored By Alabama State Parks Foundation Board
The longtime president of Pritchett-Moore, Inc., Moore has over four decades of professional insurance agent.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama State Parks Foundation Board of Directors on Thursday honored the organization's founding director, Tuscaloosa businessman and former Alabama baseball player Tommy Moore.

The honor was presented during the foundation's quarterly meeting at Lake Lurleen State Park on Thursday, April 20. It was given by Dan Hendricks, who awarded Moore with a plaque and praised him for his “clear-eyed, careful and passionate leadership.”

The Alabama State Parks Foundation is a statewide nonprofit organization focused on supporting the Alabama state parks system.
The Alabama State Parks Foundation said Moore resigned from the board earlier this year after serving since the organization’s inception.

Moore played baseball at the University of Alabama from 1958-62 and graduated from UA in 1962 with a degree in finance.
After graduating from The Capstone, Moore was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Army and served for two years in the United States and Korea.

In addition to his work in the private sector, he is also director emeritus of the Bank of Tuscaloosa and serves the University of Alabama as a member of the President’s Cabinet and the College of Commerce Board of Visitors.
Tommy and his wife Stella have three children: Margaret, Wilson, and Duncan.
