TPD Identifies Two Northport Residents Killed In Thursday Crash
Here's the latest on a two-vehicle wreck on University Boulevard Thursday that killed two people and injured two others.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department has identified two Northport residents killed in a Thursday morning wreck on University Boulevard near Cottondale.
Two of the occupants of the Chevrolet S10 pickup truck involved in the crash were Marty Dale Green, 40, and Ashley Denise Stewart, 35. Both of them were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and two others injured in the two-vehicle collision are still hospitalized as of Friday morning.
The crash occurred Thursday morning at approximately 3:03 a.m. at Wildwood Trace and University Boulevard East. The crash was reported by passing motorist and involved a pickup truck and a car.

As Patch previously reported, the Nissan Sentra involved in the crash was driven by a 33-year-old Tuscaloosa man who was transported to DCH then UAB for treatment for his injuries. One other occupant of the truck was also injured.
