NOT AGAIN: Truck Loses Load Of Raw Chicken Parts In Downtown Tuscaloosa
This comes after a similar incident occurred at the exact same location in late April.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Those needing to travel on the Hugh Thomas Bridge are advised to use any alternate routes possible for the time being after a truck hauling raw chicken parts lost its load coming off the bridge at University Boulevard Monday.

This comes only a few months after a similar incident occurred at the exact same location in April, resulting not just in traffic impacts, but a horrifying combination of foul smells and slick pavement.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department said the inside and middle lanes of the bridge are now blocked as cleanup efforts begin.
"Our thoughts are with the ALDOT workers handling clean-up," TPD said in a Facebook post on Monday. "Try using one of the other bridges if you plan to drive south from the Northport side anytime soon. We’ll update once the road is cleared."
