Tuscaloosa County EMA, Compassion Coalition Operating Warming Stations Through Friday

Warming stations will provide a temporary emergency shelter and offer a warm, dry place to stay overnight.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is working with the Compassion Coalition to operate warming stations for individuals in need during cold weather.

Warming stations will provide a temporary emergency shelter and offer a warm, dry place to stay overnight.

The stations will be open from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. nightly through Friday.

Those in need of assistance in Tuscaloosa County is asked to call (205) 349-0150 and provide the following information: their name, a callback phone number, current location within Tuscaloosa County, and the number of people requesting shelter.

Officials ask the public not to call the warming station number to inquire about donations at this time.
