Tuscaloosa To Host Alabama Sheriffs Association Orientation

The Alabama Sheriffs Association will converge this week for its orientation at the Embassy Suites in downtown Tuscaloosa.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Sheriffs Association (ASA) will converge this week for its orientation, which will be held at the Embassy Suites in downtown Tuscaloosa.

The orientation event will begin Thursday and run through Sunday.

The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office told Patch that, at its most recent count, 16 of Alabama's newly elected sheriffs have registered for the event, along with 35 returning sheriffs.

Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones, president of the ASA, will open the conference with a welcoming address Thursday afternoon, before members will be able to attend a wide range of sessions, including:
