Lamb told Patch that property owners petitioned the City of Lake View to be annexed into the city limit, which then issued a resolution to the state legislature requesting an expansion of the city's boundaries and corporate limits.

While both bills say there will be a map showing the proposed changes on file, which will be open to public in the probate offices of Tuscaloosa and Jefferson Counties, Lamb and Tuscaloosa County officials said the aforementioned map is not available as of the publication of this story.

If signed into law, the changes would go into effect on the first day of the third month after it gets approval from the governor.
