Tuscaloosa Man Charged For 2021 Crash That Killed Three In Cottondale
A Tuscaloosa man has been charged in connection to a head-on collision in 2021 that resulted in the deaths of three people.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Tuscaloosa man has been charged with criminally-negligent homicide in connection to a fatal 2021 crash that resulted in the deaths of three people.

According to Tuscaloosa County Jail records, 34-year-old Braxton Finlay Connell is charged with three counts of criminally-negligent homicide and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

His total bond was set at $19,000.
As Patch previously reported, on the morning of Sept. 30, 2021 a man later identified as Connell was driving a white sedan and crossed the centerline at Wildwood Trace and University Boulevard East. The car then collided with a Chevrolet S10, resulting in the deaths of Marty Dale Green, 40; Ashley Denise Stewart, 35; and Mary Hagadorn, 35, of Brookwood.

Connell was also hospitalized with serious injuries at UAB following the crash, but went on to survive his injuries.
Green and Stewart, who were both pronounced dead at the scene, were residents of Northport. Hagadorn was transported to the hospital for treatment, but died a short time after the head-on collision.
