TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Tuscaloosa man was killed in a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle Tuesday on Crescent Ridge Road

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said on Wednesday that the crash occurred at approximately 3:37 p.m. Tuesday, when Darterrius D. Washington, 23, fell from the 2009 Suzuki Gladius motorcycle that he was operating.

ALEA said after the initial crash, the motorcycle then continued forward and struck a 2008 Chrysler Sebring driven by a 16-year-old juvenile.

Troopers said Washington was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, where he died from his injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
