Tuscaloosa Man Killed, Two Injured Monday In Wreck On Highway 69

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says a Tuscaloosa man was killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle wreck Monday night.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says a Tuscaloosa man was killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle crash at approximately 6:05 p.m. Monday night on Highway 69, roughly seven miles south of the Tuscaloosa city limits.

ALEA Public Information Officer Senior Trooper Reginal King identified the victim as Fredrick Carr, 87. King said Carr was killed the 2015 Honda Odyssey he was driving was struck by a 1999 Ford F-150 driven by a Greensboro man.

Carr was pronounced dead at the scene, while the two occupants of the Ford truck were both injured and transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

King said the crash remains under investigation by ALEA's Highway Patrol Division.
