As part of the class, participants will ride along with a patrol officer for part of a shift and spend a day at the shooting range. Participants will also collect evidence and work to solve a mock homicide investigation, which will provide a inside look at how TPD forensics sciences investigators use emerging technology to help solve crimes.
What's more, participants will also get the chance to use TPD's virtual reality training simulator, along with other activities aimed at educating citizens about a day in the life of a police officer.
