The case has been handed over to the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit and its commander, Captain Jack Kennedy, said a woman was shot multiple times and remains in serious condition at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
"The shooting took place in a parking lot, and was witnessed by multiple persons and also captured on video," Kennedy told media Tuesday. "The suspect fled before officers arrival, and responding Tuscaloosa Police Officers set up a perimeter and began searching for the suspect."

Kennedy then identified the suspect as 36-year-old Pasha Darget, before saying the female victim had been in a previous relationship with Darget.
Darget has been charged with attempted murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, felon in possession of a firearm, second degree assault/third degree domestic violence.
"No bonds were set until Darget’s charges can be evaluated by the courts," Kennedy pointed out. "This was due in part to the fact that Darget was currently out on bond for an Assault 2nd degree and Domestic Violence 3rd Degree (Assault)."
He went on to say that the same victim from Tuesday shooting and another family member had been assaulted by Darget on Thanksgiving Day, for which he was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd and Domestic Violence 3rd degree.
Kennedy said the bond on these charges from November have also been revoked.
This is a developing story. Tuscaloosa Patch will have more details as they come available.
