The University of Alabama on Friday announced its annual online fundraiser, Bama Blitz, is set to kick off at noon Tuesday, April 18.

The effort will conclude Thursday, April 20 at noon.

Currently in its sixth year, the goal of Bama Blitz is to encourage giving at any level while highlighting impactful projects that might otherwise go without funding.
As part of the initiative, Bryant Bank has agreed to distribute $50,000 equally among passion projects that reach their fundraising goals.

During last year's installment, Bama Blitz raised a record $6.1 million from 1,329 gifts from alumni and supporters.

Once the online fundraiser is live, the website will provide updates about totals for each passion project, as well as the total amount of money raised for the University.
